The month of August is about to pass, you probably escaped the death-defying summer of Hong Kong, or high-tailored out of wintery Australia. It’s September dammit! And you’re ready to soak up cooler climates, take on those New Year resolutions you’ve procrastinated for months, and try that new restaurant in town you couldn’t be bothered to visit in August. But then, it hits you. Yes, you can partake in all these activities, but you forgot the one major thing the start of September always means: Social Season.

From 1 September to 31 December, you can pretty much forget about whatever detox plan you had, because somewhere in the next four months, there’s a buffet, music concert or bottle of champagne with your name on it, and damn if you’re gonna miss it!
